And sanity flees
Finals week is next week. I have an oral final exam in French tomorrow. I need to write a paper for my Lord of the Rings class. My astronomy professor is giving us TWO exams on finals night.
I hate the world right now.
Despite this hatred, I’m reading bits and pieces of Smoke & Mirrors, a collection of short pieces by Neil Gaiman. “Don’t Ask Jack” is creepy as hell, and I’m suddenly feeling a strange urge to read H. P. Lovecraft.

I just bought a collection of H.P. Lovecraft stories the other day….. yummy gothic goodness!

amanda a, do you have any suggestions as to where to start reading Lovecraft? I’ve never read any of his stuff before, but Gaiman’s got me wanting to, hehe.

I’ve been thinking about Smoke and Mirrors since I read the “Ho. Ho. Ho.” bit. Must get my hands on it for my Summer I break. :D

I’ve not read Lovecraft yet. I’m a big fan of the gothic and I picked up a collection of stories. I haven’t started it yet. I’ll let you know what I think when I start reading! :)

Andi: Definitely. There are some really great pieces in there, and he’s absolutely brilliant with short stories. His poetry isn’t half bad, either, which makes me squee like a fangirl.
amanda a: Excellent, thanks!
